One project that Joelle and I have completed recently is a crowdfunding campaign and site that will help with reforestation efforts in the mountains here while creating employment and livelihoods for many community members. Joelle advises with the branding and touched up and selected all the images along with the aesthetics of the site and I created the site and built it.

And I’m not quite sure how I’ll be able to cope with the loss of being able to eat these for around 25 cents a bowl once I move back to the States.
After 100 degree heat for a month straight and air clogged with haze from burning fires and fields it finally rained Sunday night. Phrao is beautiful again and it makes us very happy.
This weekend we had a lot of fun in Chiang Mai for Songkran, traditional Thai New Year. The most well known part of the festival to Westerners is probably the fact that for an entire week Thailand turns into a giant water fight.
A few weeks ago we had the privilege of finally taking a cook class in Chiang Mai. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice of Galangal Cooking Studio. Aoy the owner and instructor of this small cooking studio was so much fun to learn from and her recipe and instructions allowed us to create some excellent dishes. I could not recommend Glangal highly enough.
